We are looking for an exceptional Marketing professional on behalf of a global market leader in boating manufacturing and services.

With an international presence and a worldwide sales network, our client employs over 8,000 people, primarily in Europe and the United States.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, this position is responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager with marketing, advertising and events activities and perform other duties independently on an ongoing basis without day to day supervision.

Job Summary

1. Creating news contents related to boat owners, company news and other relevant industry information for the web site and newsletter.

2. Managing the online store on social media and in newsletters, making recommendations to improve sales, adding or removing products, monitoring inventory and managing reorders.

3. Facilitating submission of paperwork for boat shows: contracting for space, ordering from vendors, liability insurance, etc. while tracking deadlines; ensuring boat show presence is correctly communicated online.

4. Assisting sales managers with preparations of boat show materials.

5. Monitoring inventory levels of brochures and placing orders as needed.

6. Conducting press review at least twice monthly to monitor appearance of the company name in specialized press (advertising and editorial) and recording editorial coverage in tracking document.

7. Documenting existing processes within the marketing department and creating checklists as needed to help improve delegation within the team.

8. Attending some boat shows and owner’s events as needed.

9. Performing all other miscellaneous duties as requested.

Candidate Profile

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High School graduate with 2 years of Vocational or College level study in Design, Marketing or Communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong Understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge/Familiarity of Lotus Notes, design software a plus.
  • Knowledge of sailing and boating is a plus.
  • Knowledge of French, Spanish, or Portuguese a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, managers and the general public.
  • Ability to relate professionally with senior editorial staff, dealers, owners.

Working conditions:

  • Hybrid work schedule with a WFH option (2 days per week)
  • Occasional: marina environment
  • Occasional: driving (car, truck) and domestic travel, lifting up to 30 lbs.

Compensation

  • $65-68,000 base salary
