Our client, a fast-growing premium brand for authentic and organic cooking ingredients is looking for a Key Account Manager to build on the company’s dynamic presence in the USA (Whole Foods, Walmart, Aldi, etc.) and expand their footprint with new major customers in the US Food industry.

Known for its expertise in natural and organic ingredients, the company is constantly on the lookout for tasty, innovative products, with the aim of providing customers with exceptional culinary experiences.

This is a full-time, 100% remote position that reports directly to the US Managing Director.

Job Summary

As part of an international team that is passionate about culinary excellence, the Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to increase revenues and market share in the United States.

  • Build and develop strong relationships with a portfolio of major key players in the US Food industry
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirementsย 
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholdersย using key account metrics

Candidate Profile

  • BS/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field
  • Minimum 7 years of customer acquisition experience in the US Food & Beverage Industry
  • Keen understanding of the Food industry’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) strategies
  • Proven experience as Key Account Manager in a large sales territory
  • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong ability in problem-solving and negotiation
  • Ability to travel regularly to clients’ sites

Compensation

  • Base salary + commissions+ yearly bonus for an On-Target total compensation up to $169,000 / year
